Purple day and giveaway!

.

Happy Purple Day Wishes

Hello
Today is purple day.

Purple Day is a global grassroots event
focused on raising awareness of epilepsy.
The first event was held in 2008
and now occurs annually on March 26,
and supporters are encouraged
to wear a purple-coloured item of clothing.
 Purple and lavender are often
associated with epilepsy, as for example
in the wearing of a lavender ribbon.

My husband have epilepsy so I decide to
 share about it with you.
My husband dont have worst case of epilepsy,
but bad enough to have episodes.

Epilepsy is a group of neurological disorders characterized by epileptic seizures. Epileptic seizures are episodes that can vary from brief and nearly undetectable periods to long periods of vigorous shaking. These episodes can result in physical injuries, including occasionally broken bones. In epilepsy, seizures tend to recur and, as a rule, have no immediate underlying cause. Isolated seizures that are provoked by a specific cause such as poisoning are not deemed to represent epilepsy.People with epilepsy in some areas of the world experience varying degrees of social stigma due to their condition.
The cause of most cases of epilepsy is unknown

First time when I saw my husband with secure
it was so awful for me.
I didn't know how to help him.
I was in panic and I called his parents and ER  even mother in law said to me that they cannot help him.
for him was much worse !
Its all fine when he take his medicine but if he forget to take them just one day he will have seizure.

I have lttle card challenge for you!

so I can see it :)

Feel sorry for you and your husband. I had a colleague, whose husband has epilepsy caused by a brain tumor, so I know about it. I happen to wear a purple shirt today.
Your card is lovely!

Hello, Fiki, I am sorry to read about Mario having epilepsy, but I am happy that he can control it with medication. I think your challenge and giveaway are a wonderful way for you to bring about awareness of epilepsy! Your purple kitty card is adorable! Newton always makes me smile! Hopefully I can get my act together and make a purple card for your challenge.

Such an adorable card, Fiki! I love Newton and your cute design. I'm so thankful that Mario is able to control his seizures with his medication but it must have been very scary for you to see him and not be able to help. Nice idea to have a Purple Day challenge for awareness. We're leaving today to go to a wedding so I'm not sure I'll be able to make a card in time but I'll be thinking of you two. Happy Easter. xxD

Oh what a nice idea it is. Epilepsy is one disease which is still fraught with superstition in India. You are doing a noble thing. I will try and make a card

Beautiful card Fiki. We wore purple shirts today at work for epilepsy since I work for a Health Care Company so that was a nice support.

Your purple card is such a special way to bring attention to something that causes distress for so many, including your husband. Thank you for sharing. And what a wonderful giveaway.

I deal with seizures, too, and they're horrible. So thankful for the medication that can help keep them manageable.
